2520 Wide Position Rear Wheels

Absolutely true, swaping of wheel increases overall width of a tractor. Swapping tires would give you more traction for backing up when loaded.

No, it wouldn't...more stability, yes (which is probably what you meant)

Swapping of tires is technically not recommended, as it's having disadvantage also.

Not recommended by who? Changing the wheel track (distance between wheels on the same axle) width has been a common practice on farm tractor for years. Even many CUTs with Ag tires have wheels that provide for changing the offset (center sections bolted rather then welded to the rim).
Worst thing I can think of is wearing out bearings quicker (maybe) or, a worst case scenario, breaking an axle if way overloaded.

I would like to see a picture of a 2520 with the wheels in the wide position? Also does anyone know if wheel weights will work with the wheels reversed?

Thanks

There is very little visual difference, the values are on the inboard side and the track is increased from 49" to 51". I doesn't sound like much but you will feel the difference immediately. The wheel weights will work either way.

Wow, I am surprised that the swap only adds an inch to each side. I am then more surprised that you can really tell the difference with that little change. Does anyone know if you can add spacers in addition and what is the widest that is recommended?

I know I had problems with my chains hitting the 3pt brackets even with the rear wheels reversed (Since then I tightened the side to side movement)... It would have been a real mess if they were in the original setting... There is only around 1/2"-3/4" between the chains and 3pt now but it's all good!

Think of it from the center of the tractor to the edge of the tire, in the narrow position it is 24 1/2 inches, in the wide it is 25 1/2 which is about 4% increase in width. Doesn't sound like much but it really makes a difference.

So the only downside to reverse them is that the valves are on the inside? I put my chains on and I have clearance on both sides unless I have the 3 pt down. Since I use a front blade, that will not be a problem this winter. The only thing that is close to rubbing is the excess chain at the end. It will be interesting to see how much the chains shift as I use them. I'm using two flat bungees on the outside of the tire as my tensioner. If the valves are the only downside, I'll probably switch them.
