I have just finished installing a 5' snow blade on the front of my Yanmar 155D , no snow yet and wonder if it might be to big for this tractor. Any thoughts, anyway Merry Christmas to all. deans

I don't know anything about snow, but if the blade is angled to move snow to the side, I would imagine the actually cutting width is only 3 1/2 or 4 feet. The YM155 came with a 38" or 48" bucket on its loader, so I don't see how it would be much different. It seems decently matched to me, in my desert rat's conception of how plowing snow would work! Do you have any pictures? Did you fabricate the whole thing?

I have the Yanmar YFD-155 front dozer blade for the YM 155 and its blade is 4 foot wide. A 5 foot blade on a YM 155 still should easily push snow with tire chains.

With your blade angled, properly ballasted, and maybe even some snow chains I would say that you'd have plenty of power.

I to have a Doser/snowblade on my ym165d,which is the newer red version off your ym155.It's a 4 foot blade, but dose well.We just had a foot of snow here in Colorado, and I had no problem pushing this snow.I do have chains,I use to have calcium chloride in the rear tires but caused to much corrosion, and leaked.I have a 3 point weight on the rear now. sorry that I did'nt get back right away I was working. The snow plow was manufactured for yanmar .I'm the second owner,my neighbor bought it new in the early 1980's,it's a YFDH-155 dozer on a ym165d.This has hydraulic left & right and up/down.This year I installed quick disconnects on the hyd. so I can drop the plow Pete
