X300 Won't start and am running out of options

I don't get it. You buy a new machine that is still under warranty and when you have a problem you don't call the dealer?

I like doing what I can to fix things. In this case it started off, as what I thought, was a fun little puzzle.

Bringing it to the dealer also means I'll lose use of it for 1-3 weeks. In the New England weather I didn't want to risk losing it for the long, although it's been a great winter so far. If I could fix it over a couple hours of my time - why not?

FYI - I also repair my motorcycle, sleds and car whenever possible, regardless of the warranty. I guess I just like to tinker.

It's at the dealers now - and they, as expected told me I might get it back by mid Jan.

Ok, just my x300 back. Turns out both coils were gone. Pretty surprised by that, as we're the mechanics..who by the way had the machine fixed in 2 days. Way better than expected. Its back to running great. (and for the spark...it was there, but just on the verge of being strong enough to ignite)

glad it was an easy fix and a quick turnaround


spark can be too weak to fire, there is a tool
to measure the spark performance, but not
everybody will have one.
