15ft Batwing(to keep up with mowing),also going to cab(allergies to bad/sinus infections)

I see reason to get a new tractor for the reason of a cab alone - if you can bite the price. 35 HP is 35 HP. You can do a lot more with 35 HP more.

A aftermarket cab will do but nothing beats factory. If you can afford it I would go for it.

I hadnt heard of the new New Holland Power Star, I looked it up on the web and I agree that the cab is very nice looking, as well as the tractor, I had a NH TC35 b4 my Kubota and liked it.

Yep, a 15 ft bush hog will do it!! I think the 15ft would be a little much for the 7040 as well.

A dealer prices a new tractor to make money; Let's call this Profit A. And he prices a used tractor to make money as well; Let's call this Profit B.

In my opinion, a dealer that is trying to make both Profit A and B from one customer in one transaction is being very greedy. And this is to say nothing about the fact that he already made one Profit A on the original tractor he sold you! I think he's wanting you to set him up for early retirement.

Tell the dealer that if he wants to make a 2nd Profit A off you, he's gonna have to forgo Profit B ... or cut both in half ... or you'll take your business elsewhere.

Yeah we finally got it worked out today,I know everyone has a job to do(make money)but you gotta draw a line somewhere. So we met in the middle, its either gonna be a good deal or no deal. I know it wasnt the salesmans fault,he has been a really good guy,can only do what the BIG boss is gonna let you do,but I wasnt going to get the shaft on any deal. I will say that the NewHolland did give the best for trade-in-value than the others,Im just a KUBOTA guy:D
