Seeing that it's made of wood and is inexpensive to construct, I would op to making it either tilt, or fix it to push the snow to one side. Another option is to also make a Vee plow that will push the snow to both sides. You can overcome the snow sticking by just screwing a very thin plastic liner to the front. It will work great with fluffy dry snow. Heavy wet snow may take a bit longer to plow due to smaller bites. Is you lawn tractor transmission certified for plowing? Some lighter duty lawn transmissions just don't like much loading other than scooting around the yard on a warm day mowing down the grass. I recommend you replace the transmission fluid with a good quality synthetic for the best cold flow properties for winter. Especially if it's a hydrostatic. I run 5w-50 full synthetic fluid in both my hydros, and they are rated for plowing. Both pushing a plow, and pulling a plow.
