Just curious. What kind of tools do you have access to? It helps to know what you have to work with before suggesting elaborate solutions that you're not equipped to handle.

Not sure you can put a trip on a" V". What you can do is put a "shoe" right in the middle of the plow so that a crack in the pavement won't cause you to faceplant on the steering wheel. Make it out of round stock of no more than 1/2" rod or pipe. That way it won't behave like a runner and try to float your blade. My $0.02.

thanks for the help i might just do that. what about a piece of 12 gauge curled kind of like a skate or snowboard. could i still have a scraper blade on the 2 sides of the plow?

that looks like a good design although if you hit somthing solid such as one sidewalk square an inch higher than the one you are on the front of the blade will probably brake (happened to me) you could add a heaver duty bottom scraper blade. if you hit something the blade on the hinges might also tip forward (like it is made to) but you might want to add a trip spring on it like mine

Hi, oh mine is NOT done yet, lol. I'm gonna add tons of stuff to it, including automatic raising up and down, LOL. I'm lazy hehehehe. Also, it will turn left and right about 15 or 20 degree or so.

I was looking at your thread and you said that you might get shovels... That was my next thing. But I got some Galvanized Sheets instead. The Steel 30" Shovels are like $40 :( . I would have to get 2 of them $80 bucks yuck!, the way i went was cheaper and better... I did all that for $30

I saw what you did, was trying to give you another view of getting things CHEAP! LMAO

thanks your images help a lot. do you have any ideas for wheel weights and chains. how could i make them cheaper than buying them (WW's are $60 for each wheel and chains are like $50) thinking about making something to hang of the back, this summer i made a bracket it hold the baggier i got for $20 i have some pics. i am 150 lbs and can jump up and down on the brackets with the 2 holes in them no problem. 12 half inch bolts go all the way through. It may be overkill idk. 1st pic is before i put it on. 2nd is with half of it on. 3rd is me standing on it. 4th is what it looks like now, i added a second piece for balance. I also think i will be using the plow just to move snow in to a pile and send it flying with the snow blower LOL, will use it for anything under 5 inches. i can use the blower for anything deeper. it would be faster anyway.

Sorry for the long paragraph
Liam
