For me, the older I get, the more stuff I HAVE so the less I want and need. Back in 1990, when I purchased my first cordless drill, a B&D 9.6 volt, had you told me that someday I would have a half dozen better, more powerful drills, I would have thought you were nuts. I am old enough that I have more s--- than I know what to do with or have the room for, which is why I don't spend much now on material items.
Exactly. Same here with the 9.6 B&D drill, probably the same one. Boy I liked that drill.....so I thought at the time.
The one thing that does concern me though is how to keep what I have. I have 3 separate pieces of property that eventually I won't be able to support and at the moment not too interested in selling as all three are connected.

Same here. The only thing I'd add is that I don't even have the time to use all the stuff I have.

It didn't help any since I recently became a land owner and a first time tractor buyer. I'll tell you though, out of all the tools I have, that tractor is my new best friend!!

As for the drills.......... yeah, I'm up to 18 and 24 volt Dewalts (lithium ion wins).

When I retired, I had a mix of Dewalt and Skil 12 and 14.4 volt cordless tools, gave them to my nephews and began buying Craftsman 19.2 volt tools...attachment shows my collection...have seven drills, pair of right angle drills, a half dozen circular saws, pair of jigsaws, three reciprocating saws....doesn't show all the lights, batteries, and chargers that go with this....STOP LAUGHING. I have four outbuilding shops and I keep a set in each shop in the good weather months.

You definitely have waaay too much money and nothing to do with it.
I'd go broke just keeping all that stuff charged.
On the other hand, money is absolutely worthless unless you spend it.
I also keeping duplicate tools in three of our buildings/barns.

CTF....some people collect coins, some collect stamps, some collect guns....my wife has about 200 pair of shoes, some never worn, most worn once or twice. At least I USE MY TOOLS, instead of having them on display or unused in a closet....
