Gas used to be less than twenty cents a gallon? Hey I am not THAT old...the lowest I remember is about 45 cents a gallon.

The local USA station was at 24.9 for years.

Spoke with a friend in Austria the other days and asked how's the economy...

He said very good for those with trade skills... seems lots of folks are willing spending money on their homes because there is some fear of massive inflation and people tend to keep homes for generations there.

A couple of times the currency in European Countries has gone to near worthless status so maybe they are onto something?

Used to dream of making 30k a year... thought that would be enough to live a comfortable life... now that is enough to cover taxes... 10k for property, State and Federal Income, Sales at 10% etc...

My truck that used to cost $30 and change to fill now costs $130... it's a 85 model.

When it comes to giving gifts I personally keep up with inflation be comparing the cost to a tank of gas and find the comparison useful.

..Gas used to be less than twenty cents a gallon? Hey I am not THAT old...

I remember 17.9 cents a gallon. In 1969 they had Gas wars, and on a regular basis I would fill up my tank on $3.00 at the regular price of 25 - 29 cents.

I also got a set of glasses, had the guy was my windows and check my oil and air in my tires.

OK here's some real facts about oil spills. Prior to the Gulf oil spill on Obamas watch the cry babies kept bringing up The Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska as why we shouldn't ever drill in the USA.

Now funny thing happened after the Gulf oil spill. Obama went swimming in the Gulf and declared everything perfect and back to normal 30 days after the spill stopped. Miraculously the gulf was declared back to normal.

See, when same situation with two different outcomes. 25 years of the Valdez spill being a danger to humanity when the liberals want to stop drilling, but when it happens on their watch, well it's not a problem at all, and hasn't been mentioned since. Interesting huh?
