I just finished doing the fifty hour service on my Kawasaki mule 4010 diesel. 80 bucks sure beats 275 the dealer wanted. Didn't need to change the converter air filter, could have saved 19 more if I had waited.

I just bought a used RTV1100 and decided to do a complete maintainence. Just for the SUDT, oil, filters, grease, and coolant: $200+. Cabin air filters (2): $143.00 YIKES! but AWESOME machine!!!

The service manual even explains how to clean the converter filter so you don't have to replace it every time. I was surprised how dirty the oil was.

Haven't bought any cabin filters yet, that is pricey. Those services are expensive, but necessary. I'm following the manual on the 1100...I did filters on the hydro, motor oil and filter, along with the grease work. Fortunately, it's not hard to do.

I'll change the SUDT at the recommended interval.

I have been looking all over for the cabin filters, no car maker maker has anything in a common size that is close, they are all like children with no homes. And yes the cabin filters are an obscene price.

Diesel oil will always look very dirty. It's the nature of the diesel beast. It will start to look dirty just a few days after changing it. Diesel oil is formulated to collect a lot of the blow-by carbon/etc. that diesel engines produce. The "dirty" look in no way affects the oil's performance. This is normal. :thumbsup:

Thanks for the info, sure makes me feel better. I changed a gas model the same day and it looked very clean, so I was a little worried.
