question about hydraulic valves

I have a question about a hydraulic valve.

can i put more seperate valves together at this way you can see in the picture?

You can, but you run the risk of damaging the valves. You should have a PB port on all valves except the last valve.

All tank ports should go to tank.

Some valves have a Power Beyond port (PB port). This is so that you can gang valves. The first valve has priority. If it does not need the flow, the fluid goes to the next valve. The valve needs to be designed to do this (needs to have a PB port).

PB means just that. Power Beyond to the next valve. In an open center hyd circuit, all valves are in series. This port with a PB adapter will send pump flow or Hyd power for the next valve. It has to be able to with stand full pressure, whereas the tank port only has about a 250 to 500 psi rating.

One of the reasons for the PB is to separate the pump flow from the cyl OUT flow.

In a multi valve situation, any valve can use all or part of the pump flow. Upstream valves have priority.

T or TANK means that this port should go to tank.

Look at the loader valve connection to the next valve, the PB from the loader valve is feeding the next valve, and the tank/return ports are tied together.

What kind of hyd circuit are you trying to accomplish, open center or closed center.

Open center valves are connected in series , and closed center valves are in parallel.


What are your design goals?

Is this for a tractor or some other hyd endeavor?


Certain valves can be used as open center, and open center with PB. with a PB sleeve, or a closed center plug can be used to make the valve a closed center hyd system.

This valve can be converted as an open center, PB, or closed center valve.

I'ts for a tractor, but 1 three spool valve is €190, and three single spool valve's are only €90. I don't have much money to spend so I want to make it as cheap as possible.

Can't read the language, but you probably want a three spool valve. What do you want to control. Is this for an aux valve or remote setup for implements or T-N-T, etc?

If you are using it on an open center tractor, you can use three single spool valves if that is what you have , and if they have PB and you connect them in series.

I think I would use the three spool as it will save you in hoses and fittings, and be more convenient.
