From the owner's manual the freeplay on the clutch is 3/4-1 3/16 inches. The levers are as follows: curved T by your right heel is the differential lock, the lever to engage the 4wd is by your right leg (looks like an upside down L), the large lever nearest the right fender is the 3PH lift. Once you get your clutch free make sure you block the pedal when it is parked to prevent it from repeating. Bill C

Thanks Bill! I looked at the diagrams by the levers and couldn't figure out what they were. I figured the one on the floor was the diff lock because that's where it was on the Deere. Never owned a 4WD so I wasn't really sure if that was the lever or not. Thanks for clearing it up!

I have this problem with a late 70's 1910. I can put the tractor into any gear sequence and it will not budge an inch. No problems engaging the PTO and no grinding when going through the gears. Does thisd sound to you folks as the same problem that can be remedied by propping cluch pedal down? Thanks!

are you saying you have no driveline connection to the wheels when in gear and clutch not pressed?

If I understand you correctly - yes. When the tractor is running, I can depress the clutch, put the tractor in any gear sequence, release the clutch and no movement.

I cut a length of 2x4 and prop-depressed the clutch per other folks contributive suggestions. I don't know if that is the fix or not. It has sat for about 3-4 months without use.

you have the reverse of many peopl's issue. ie.. their clutch will not release.

yours sounds like possible a sheard clutch hub.

pto work in neutral?

in gears when not moving?

ps.. blocking the clutch in a situation like yours won't help.

i would have to agree either the clutch face stripped off or a sheard clutch hub

also check clutch petal free play if pedal is adjusted to tight it will make the clutch slip

and if it's neither of those.. could be sheared rivits or bolts on ring gear, or broke pinion / coupling.. broke rear axle etc..

but I'd be looking at clutch 'area' first
