Local Kubota dealer not honoring warranty

What alarms me about this thread is I have two dealers in my area. Lets say my purchasing dealer (which is local) and I have a falling out so now I want to have my tractors warranty work as well as other service done at the other dealer. Didn't buy it there so he refuses the warranty work. That means now I am screwed 6 ways to sunday as the original seller and I are not on talking terms and the other is upset cuz he didn't get the original sale. So like others have said, the warranty isn't worth the paper its printed on. One might as well buy used and the money saved could go to repairs that probably aren't going to be covered anyway.

Is this just me or is this guy clearly not following "Kubota rules" Seems as though Kubota would have some way to make their dealers service or tell them they can no longer sell their tractors...

Yup. It is. Like I said, I think its pretty fruitless trying to make an issue out of it. I think its fine if your inclinded to contact the company and say "hey, this happened", but do you really want to go the route of focing your machine in door? I'd take a good look at other places to take it before wasting your time making a stink out of it, just look for someone who wants your business.

If you don't feel like reading all the posts on this subject, here is the summation.

Corporate Kubota policy:

Warranties are honored, or not, at our whim and fancy. Patronizing non-originating dealers will never be tolerated, for any reason, and will subject you to being placed on THE LIST. Too bad/so sad, if the originating dealer is incompetent or a tyrant. Do you REALLY think we give a s*** if you have to move/relocate away from the originating dealer? And if your dealer goes out of business or relocates, then the joke is on you. If you don't like it, feel free to buy another brand; but before you do, you might want to read the fine print in our competitor's warranty - haaaa! Note: We deny all allegations of collusion and antitrust criminal activity.

I agree it is time to abandon the thread, but I try not to discuss politics if at all possible.

I'm all for seeing something for something besides a bunch of undeserved hate toward a brand. Let's keep the politics out of this though so this thread doesn't have to be shut down as it is a great reference for similar future situations similar to this:thumbsup:
