the teacher is after us maybe forget a few things about school but after 50 something years its could be ok huh?

Theres always going to be people who try to attack someone for spelling or other similar minor issues. I don't know why they do it other then to feel better about themselves some how.

I had a rear rim loosen up on a hay wagon and didn't notice it till it broke off one lug nut and cracked the rim. I have replacement rims/tires so it wasn't a big deal but I was surprised to see it and very thankful to have caught it before it came off while fully loaded driving down the road.

Yep, I feel great now for posting in this thread. If grammar wasn't needed it wouldn't be taught.

OP: Get in a habit of checking bolts/lugs during your usual service. I make a checklist of things to do when I service my equipment.

Does proper punctuation fix his problem? If he is posting from the TBN app on his smart phone its more of a hassle to do punctuation then from a keyborad on a computer. And regardless, his problem is the same and he is looking for advice on fixing the tractor, not his punctuation.

I don't have any college degrees and I could read it so I would imagine most everyone else could as well.

I have a master's degree in education and I had no trouble reading it either. Who cares if he used punctuation?

One of my classes was Technical Writing...I'll admit, I'm very particular about errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation. I'm also a very poor typist, so I need to watch myself for typographical errors.

That said, there is no reason for such errors in a post. Even cell phones have punctuation symbols and many auto-correct spelling (or have a spell checker). TBN text boxes (such as the one I'm typing in now) have spell check tools...although that won't pick up a lack of punctuation.
All you need to do is use them.

The OP's post wasn't too lengthy so it could be deciphered. I have seen some on TBN that were not understandable in their entirety.

got a chance to use the 2305 today pushing some snow didnt last long dont work to good on 3 wheels bolts all fell out got it inside to see what went oops cleaned out the threads need 5 new lugs next steep was to check the other wheels but they are all tight so dont know what happened just about 2 years old minus a few days.

Not to belabor the point, but doesn't take much to separate the thoughts, just by using the return key with every change in thought. No college degree needed i.e.

got a chance to use the 2305 today pushing some snow
didnt last long
dont work to good on 3 wheels
bolts all fell out
got it inside to see what went
oops
cleaned out the threads
need 5 new lugs
next steep was to check the other wheels but they are all tight so
dont know what happened
just about 2 years old minus a few days

Roy I have read some of the posts like you describe. The ones where they have what should be 4 or more paragraphs combined into one big long sentence. This isn't the case here. A fellow member asks for advice on his tire problem and another posters says "Punctuation helps a lot.", I don't know how punctuation helps a tire but regardless, there are so many ways to mention things about punctuation making posts easier to read without being rude. At least help the OP and then make a small tip in a friendly manner about how his post could be easier to read if he did this or this.

It just comes back to the fact that with the increase in TBN's members were losing some of the great things this board use to have and one of which is that we are all friends here. None of us know each other on such a personal level to be able to know if someone has learning disabilities where they have trouble with spelling, punctuation or even using a computer. Things we all take for granted to come very difficult for others and we should all be respectful of that when talking to each other. Help them, thats what TBN is for, not to make them feel bad or stupid
