New to the forum.

I have a JD5105 (2000 model) that had 2 rear SCV's controlled by two levers beside the seat. The tractor has a 553 loader that is plumbed into the rear remotes.

Is there a way to convert this to a joystick and or mid-hydraulic set up? Can I keep the rear outlets?

Not sure what my options are for adding hydraulics on this tractor.

Thanks in advance.

You can add a mid scv as shown. It does not interfere with your rear hydraulics.

Thanks. Exactly what i was looking for. Any idea what something like that would cost?

Would this configuration be an option for a 4520 for a grapple or other FEL mounted hydraulics? Learning about SVC's and options.

Thanks

4520 comes standard with the mid scv ( two of them) operated by the joystick. For a grapple you can install a diverter on your existing to switch one function back and forth or install a separate 3 rd rear and the fel third hard line kit and run it to the front. If your 4520 is 2011 or newer the 3 rd is electro hydraulic and is controlled by a thumb switch on the joystick. If older it is a lever that fits in the slot next to the 3 pt lever.

Okay, that makes sense now. My 4520 is a 2008 and has the joy stick for the FEL. I am learning about hydraulics and how best to expand its use. Thanks for the feedback.

Thinking about this further, what are the options for a 3rd function to the FEL for this optional use? Are there just the two options that you mention, a diverter on the mid SCV or a 3rd function on the rear running up to the front?
