Do you know if the Bobcat mulcher has a two speed motor? I'm looking for more performance than my 2005 CAT mulcher gives. I'm satisfied with the CAT/FAE but looking for just a little more production and less stalling.
I looked at the Deere mulcher. Looks like the Bobcat/Fecon but without the front gate. I don't really need 60" cutting width and I'm fine with 50". I'd rather put more hp to less teeth.
I have a brushcat when I need to mow light brush in large areas where I need more coverage over my tracks.
So many toys out there and so little energy to think about all this. I operate my own machines and I'm not getting any younger.

My niche is 1-10 acres and brush piles on smaller tracts where big machines would have difficulty getting in. I think I have a good thing going and decent reputation for filling the gap left by the big machines. If I have really big wood, I've got a 20"
chipper in my fleet.
Any more thoughts would be appreciated. I am hung up on consolidating my machines under one dealer who I have a 16 year history with.
I'm even considering a radical change and selling my big
chipper (Vermeer BC2000 with loader) and my domain, brushchipping.com and just focusing on mulching and my other services. Too much time to think in winter.. and too many demands on my time to be spread all over the place. I've always been a "go to" guy for my customers and some other companies I sub for but lately I have thought about focusing more on less services but that goes against my usual advice of being diversified. Besides,I like my toys and I have a ranch I'm not quite done cleaning up.
