I know it's been mentioned once or twice here, but I would definitively recommend getting the SSQA over the JDQA! You will save allot on front implements down the road. Buy the 4in1 and any other bucket, grapple, forks from someone else online and save yourself ALLOT of money over the green stuff. They will have better re-sale as well and you can borrow or rent, along with loan out or trade them much easier. Id recommend this to anyone with the 400 series loaders.

That's exactly what the dealer recommended as well (SSQA), as well as converting my current grapple rather than selling it and purchasing a new one.

Thanks for the pics, Adam! Beautiful country! Throw in another foot or two of snow and it could pass for Alaska!

You're REALLY gonna be in for tractor shock...!!! Whoa... the first time in that cab with a heater and radio!!! You might wanna stock up on a few nitroglycerin tablets!

That is a beautiful tractor! Have you listed it yet? How much are you going to be asking? Someone will truly love that tractor. One of the nicest tractors I've seen for that age:thumbsup:

You will be in shock when you feel the comfort of a nice new tractor with a HST tranny and a can though!

Thank you for all the kind words - it IS a nice place and very beautiful. Usually we DO have another few feet of snow - this is a very odd year (last one like this was 1980). Typically by now we have 2-3' on the ground, and by spring (when we get a few good storms) it is not uncommon to have 5' of snow on the ground.

I'm asking $9500, with the brush hog. It is up in the classifieds here, as well as Craigslist. Not the best time of year to try and sell a tractor here, but I have plenty of time. My only concern is it sells in May, then I order the new one that arrives in August! That would not be good.

Given estimated delivery dates, it looks like I"ll be wandering in to the dealer Tuesday to put a deposit down:)

Right now I'm thinking of having the hydraulic diverter (so top and tilt runs off the joystick), and then one additional rear valve (rocker switch) for when I put a cylinder on my back blade or york rake (yup, getting lazier and I don't even have the tractor yet!)

Since there seems to be lots of folks with new 4000 twenty series tractors, is there anything you wish you had gotten but didn't, or are really glad you did get?

Thanks!

I think getting the diverter and additional third rear outlet is a very good choice. Most other things can be easily added at any time. For ordering purposes I would get the fulll hydraulics (as you mention) extendable links, updated cruise and tires of choice. I added other things that I felt were more of a personal choice such as rear wiper, rear work lights, economy pto and full front and rear weights. Just depends on your uses and needs.

The economy pto and diverter setup should be ordered to start with as adding either of these can be more expensive down the line.

Hydraulic diverter is definitely a good idea. Less clutter too...

As jenkinsph mentioned, the rear wiper and rear work lights are a must. Don't even consider not buying them. It is very hard to see plowing snow without them. (I don't know as much about the rear wiper plowing as I chose the freeze my @$$ off method instead of the cab though). I would imagine it piles up pretty fast though. The auto cruise is really nice for a lot of mowing. Radio, pretty self explanatory. I think you've covered just about everything else though...

If I'm going the iMatch route do I need the extendable links? I plan on converting everything I have to work with it:)

Otherwise, everything notes is already on the list (rear work lights, wiper, full hydraulics, etc...).

Thank you all!
