This thread sure is off to a slow start. I figured the way some folks around here are down on hydrocarbons there would be a lot more.

Here is my new finishing mooo-er. It's 1/4 hp, I'm glad I spent a little extra money and got the auto-pilot, because it takes forever to cut the yard. The dealer threw in the auto fertilize option at no extra cost.

They best thing about it is it doesn't use any of them ole nasty hydrocarbons, everybody needs to get rid of them diesel tractors and head in this direction so them NASTY oil field workers will quit running people off the road and poisoning our drinking water.

Well it is just all about NIMBY. Everyone wants hydrocarbons they just don't want them produced or refined or transported in their backyards. Just like your angus there, no one wants that cow in their back yard either, or the feedlot or the slaughter house. They just want that steak on their plate in the steakhouse. Most people have no idea how messy everything in life is or how things get to the finished state. Some people would stop all oil production in the US and wonder why the economy stopped. and there was no fuel for their car. :confused2: As for you rude oil workers running people off the road, well I suspect that is Dick Cheney's fault. On the left the word Dick Cheney and Halliburton are both synonyms for Satan, and must always be used together, as in Dick Cheney's Halliburton. By the way I did find a solar tractor for $28,000 it has a 5kwh battery, and would produce about 8 horsepower for about an hour, It had solar cells they said could produce 1000 watts. but looking at the size of them I was thinking more like 250 watts. but I did not see how it could do much actual work. Of course the write up on this tractor on the web site was much more glowing than I am painting here..

Here is my snow mover, it's 1/100th of a hp.
Man it takes forever to clear the driveway.
But it uses zero hydrocarbons.

Wow a mower that makes fuel! If we could just capture all that good fuel coming out the exhaust port!

Aren't they all solar powered. Diesel is a product made of crude oil and crude oil is a product of photosynthesis...from the sun....

What is everyone using to heat their homes?
I hope your not using hydrocarbons, or coal that stuff is nasty and bad for the environment.

Wood is the only way to go, but be sure your not using a chainsaw, they burn that nasty old gas, and the oil from the chain goes right into the ground, then into my well water.
