a black toyota highlander drove down my fenceline at a snails pace, then parked nearly in his driveway and the driver, a woman, was leaning her neck around trying to look diagonally down the right of way that seperates me and my neighbors property, so she could see my back yard.

OK what do you mean by right of way? is this a common driveway easement, exclusively for you and your neighbor, or is this dedicated to public use? If it's the former, you might be able to catch them trespassing. If it's a public roadway, nothing you can do, she can park out there all night.

I was going to suggest a camera but figured it would not work too well but given what your neighbor saw, a camera might be useful to match her to to the complaints. The images still are not proof she called but it might be enough to drop up some photos at her place and tell her to stop.

Continuing to file false complaints for criminal acts should get her in trouble. Given that there are pretty close to zero public phones anymore it should be possible to match up the complaints to a person.

At some point I would be talking to the supervisors of the officer. Not sure if I would do it yet but after the third time I would. I always like to know a bit of the law before hand so you can no if you are being BSed.

last evening on the news Baltimore City has put animal abuse on with the crime stoppers. What this is, anyone can call in completely anonymously and report animal abuse. all the animal right groups are thumping their chests over this one. They no doubt will have the same problem as people just either causing mischief or making someone else s life difficult. Unfortunately two things in this country of being "innocent until proven guilty" do not apply. Get accused of mistreating an animal you are convicted before trial all a student has to do to ruin for life a teacher is say "he/she touched me". either incident you are ruined regardless of the verdict.

For the 2nd time in as many months, some has anonimously turned me in to animal control / code enforcement. Same claim.. starving animals. They added this time that one of my horses was missing an eye.

Each time someone does this.. ode enforcement comes out, tacks up a big red 'VIOLATION' poster on my fence.. then when I get home I have to call them.. schedule an appt ment for them to come out and inspect the place, take pics.. etc. Each time the case is always closed immediatly. Animals are fine.. have food, shelter, hay, water, etc, etc.

of the 3 horses ont he property, 1 is a class A mini, and actually kinda FAT. the other is a 17yr old buckskin in perfect shape. the other is a 30yr old sorrell in GREAT shape, sans an eye. had to have it surgically removed a few ys ago.. ( twas not a CHEAP operation at an equine hospital.. IE.. MULTI-thousand $$ care )..

Either the general public are pure 100% MORONS or someone is out to get me in my community and keeps reporting me. making me take time off work to go handle the situation, contact AC/CE and get pics taken and the case closed.

each time i ask them who turned me in, and they keep telling me that for regular complaints they take a name.. but for cruelty complaints they don't.

I gotta find a way to fix this.. Perhaps at the ounty level.. get the ordinance changed.. this just ain't working if anyone can go and faile a false police rport, repeatedly. cuz that's what it is in essence.. a police report. the AC people cary guns and can arrest you and cite you and haul you into court.

There HAS to be a penalty for filing a false report???

SG, the only thing you do thats cruel is show us poor folks pics of all those beautiful tractors you have. There should be a law against having that many nice tractors and not giving them to your fellow tbn members!!!

So I don't understand this process. Is the guy that puts up the red poster just a gopher that has a list of places to tack up posters? Is the law such that you are guilty until proven innocent? What happens if you take the poster down and just ignore it? I'd be tempted to get a lawyer involved.

lawyer is the key in our state if you are cited 3 times and the complaint is unfounded you can file harassment charges and they have to give you the name of the complaintent pluss you can also sue for damages to your reputation and lost time that you spent dealing with it.

All this reminds me of a tale of two sisters. Two of my wife's sisters live in separate neighborhoods about 2 miles from each other. They each had been gone from home for a few weeks for different reasons.

Sister #1 comes home from being gone to find notices and voicemails from code enforcement citing her for violations because of complaints from neighbors.

Sister #2 comes home from being gone to find her yard mowed, flower beds weeded, and trash all picked up. Sister #2's neighbors saw there was a problem and decided to help out rather than gripe about it.

When I heard those two stories just days apart from each other it really woke me up. I decided right then that I want to be the kind of neighbor that sister #2 has.
