I've been through something similar. Guy called me and quizzed me if I was feeding my horses. At the time I had 20 rented acres about 5 miles from my house where I kept them. I told him I went out twice a day every day and looked after them, they were if anything overfed, and were fully healthy / every six weeks serviced by the farrier and up to date on shots / coggins vet care and was there anything else he wanted to know?

Left it at that and got word he had mouthed off about how he was going to go get those animals and how he didn't think I was looking after them and he was going to call the county etc, he hadn't ever seen me out there blah blah blah.. That blew my lid. First, that he lived nowhere near nor had any business at the place I rented. Second, that he was hanging around out there trying to spy on me? So I probably shouldn't have done what I done, but what I did was called him and told him that worst thing that could ever happen to him is for me to be out there one day and catch him out there snooping around. Never heard from him since.

We have a new place now, our girls and us live on the same land, no more problems; however, I do make it a point to flip him off every time I meet him in the road lest he thinks I forgot.

OK what do you mean by right of way? is this a common driveway easement, exclusively for you and your neighbor, or is this dedicated to public use? If it's the former, you might be able to catch them trespassing. If it's a public roadway, nothing you can do, she can park out there all night.

it's an easement originally for the power company or for garbage pickup WAY WAY back from the 60's. it's unused, but the land is owned by the POA, and it is actively listed as a county easement.

Put a fly mask on the horse during the day. I like this one. Then they cannot see the eye.

I would fly maske it.. but.

1, the horse don't like it..

2, takes plenty of time for me to mask and un mask him.



back to 1.. he's 30 and has 1 eye.. I try to let the old man be as comfortable as possible and do what he wants. he don't owe me anything. i provide good room and board for him, and he gets to walk around the pasture with his younger pasture mated and paw at the ground.. roll inthe dust piles when he feels able to, and pick at grass, chew hay off the roll, and eat grain out of the bucket.

i spare no expense for his health.. He gets supplemented with calf manna by manna pro.. that's a 28$ per bag feed. plus he gets 11% sweet with corn and oats, and 12% dry alfalfa pellets and 14% senior blend.. all mixed together to make sure he is getting the nutrients his old body needs.

Problem is most people think they know what a horse should look like, but haven't been around enough of them to really know what they look like.
If you ever see one that is emaciated / mistreated, you won't forget it.

I hope everything works out for you. I honestly hope it is someone who wrong was well intentioned and can be brought to see the light through positive actions - if not so be it, it is their lot in life to get their a$s handed to them and that the aim of your foot in that direction be swift and true.

Fencing property that is big enough to hold three horses and fifty tractors (ok, maybe not quite that many tractors, but this is Soundguy we're talking about, lol) would take a serious amount of $$$, and for what? Just to ruin the view you have? Looking at the backside of a privacy fence isn't my idea of a good view. Better ways to spend a buck, in my opinion. If the money is spent putting up a fence, all the harasser has to do is stand on top of that vehicle's bumper to see over it and that is worth another phone call.

David, I don't think SG would have to do anymore than where she has to get in his neighbor drive way to look at the back of his house (his description the way I understood it) or some fast growing trees!!

Be sure to leave the sign up for 3-4 days and then remove it and put wooden crosses on three piles of dirt in the front yard.

I'd be willing to bed that you would get the person's name but even if you don't it would put the person on notice that you are actively trying to find out who they are. There's a reason they are making an anonymous phone call. Maybe that sort of sign would put an end to it. I dunno, just a thought.
