Tried moth balls and drier sheets in the combine cab - they used the moth ball box cardboard to chew up and make a nest out of, as well as one drier sheet. Maybe just Minnesota mice are tougher?
I'd think mice woul prefer the enclosed shed, they will find in, less to bother them in there than out in the open.
Probably depends on your location and climate & such.
The 6-20 cats we typically have sure help, but they seem to leave a few mice go for a breeding herd so there will always be more to hunt....
