Solar breakawy charger

Several manufacture's such as CAM superliner offer a solar breakaway charger as an option on there trailers. The unit is all in one and a slick setup. I'm looking to add one to my Belmont trailer but can't seem to find the manufacture. I believe it was made by TAP or Hoppy but can't find it anywhere.

Does anyone have any leads as to who might sell this unit?

Check with R&P Carriages or Etrailer.

Norther Tool may also have them.

Last one I bought there for a customer was Reese. I think Reese and Hoppy are now one and the same.

Negative on the listed websites DP. I've looked all over the web for them. I think Cam has someone local building them. I've seen them several times and think I may call Cam since they don't sell parts online. It's a $35 dollar option on there trailers so I'm sure it'll be under $100 for the parts. I'll report back when I have the details.

I'm watching this thread with great interest. I have my trailer to truck connector hooked up so that the breakaway battery on my landscape trailers, (and dump battery on my dump trailer), charge while they are hooked up and the truck is running. The problem is that if you don't use the trailer enough, there is not enough charging taking place to keep the trailer batteries at peak charge. Will be interested in what you find....

Buying it all as one unit would be convenient, but you could easily just wire in one of these HF cheapies. They go on sale for ten bucks or so all the time.

I know I could definatly make something work but I'm really after a small self contained unit that will be out of the way and not easily damaged or broken.

I have the same issue with charging mentioned above. I don't have it hooked up enough to charge the battery most times. So with this approach the trailer can sit and be ready to go when ever I need it.
