I'm sorry about the confusion. I try, in the classroom, in real life, and on the message boards, to be clear and distinct in my speaking. That doesn't mean rude, as "clear" or "direct" is often used euphemistically. I try to ask for clarification about what others mean whenever needed, because otherwise I may not know what they mean. Conversely, I recognize others of necessity understand things differently than I do, so may not view things I say the way I intend them.
If I came across rude, with an attitude, or anything other than in a respectful, inquisitive manner, I am sorry. I don't want to do that, be known for doing that, or anything at all of that nature. It was not my intent, at any point, to do anything but request illumination about what you meant.
For clarification, when you suggested I could "...maybe stating you have started a thread and saying "hey guys, got this thread going here, what you think ?" it didn't seem different, to me, in outcome than my announcement of having a new thread in the attachments forum, where I'm trying to learn about a new implement. It obviously did to you, so I was wanting your view on how I could put things differently, or, if my thread is out of compliance, if I should just delete it.
Similarly, I was asking if something in the way I was writing led you to feel like I wasn't treating you respectfully or that I was somehow ignoring that there was a real person involved, not just a computer screen. I just didn't (and, to be fair, still don't) see how my first post in this thread is identical to the one in the attachments forum. If posting threads about other threads is frowned upon or not allowed, I won't do it, and will try to get this one removed as soon as practicable.
Thank you for the feedback and input; I really do appreciate it and am not at all trying to be confrontational or obnoxious.
