Diesel fuel storage tank

There is only one unit I use when it gets really cold is the RTV900. That gets used for snow plowing and feeding the horses. I don't know if I really need it, but that gets supplemental cold weather additive in the winter. I'm not running the rest of the equipment when it gets below 15 degrees

I'm trying to decide between a 275 gallon or bigger IBC or 55 gallon drums. The primary purpose is for fuel for my tractors and a yet to be bought generator. I wouldn't worry about fuel getting old since I've got:
2 small tractors, my diesel duallie, my TDI
and plan on getting:
a generator, another bigger tractor
and my BIL has a diesel duallie, a diesel 250, and a TDI who stops by
and a cousin with 2 diesel duallies who stops by
so we could use it up quickly or slowly
We definitely could use a few gallons a week on the average, probably at least 5, but the trucks take about 40 gallons, so if we wanted we could use a lot more.
I'm not concerned about "winter" fuel since it's Mississippi and I'll keep a little PS 911 and kerosene on hand. And I plan on ONLY on road fuel.

I've got a near perfect place to set up a fueling station, so storage wouldn't be a problem.

Has anyone used both drums and IBC's? I'm thinking IBC's because they are available for $60 versus a couple of hundred for a regular fuel tank. I realize drums are more portable.

What's IBC?

I've gone from a 55 gallon drum with a hand pump to a 240 gallon poly/wire frame cube with an electric pump. It made no sense to fool with the 55 gallon drum when the tractor alone could take half of that. With the larger capacity, I can get home delivery instead of having to handle the drum myself.

You mention pickups and tractors. If you do both, you lose the cost advantage of getting off road diesel (no road tax). Of course, a lot of people take the risk and run dyed diesel in their trucks but I haven't felt that it was worth the worry. YMMV.

I believe IBC is the plastic or ploy tanks with the metal cage around them. I myself have thought about getting one and using it for fuel storage.

Sounds ok to me.
Oh that is because you use the whole white bottle PS right?;)
No it's because the temperature seldem if ever gets down to +14 degrees around here anymore.
But a 32 Oz bottle still goes into the55 gallon drum

every time I fill it up with either winter or summer blend.

What's IBC?
An Intermediate bulk container (IBC) is a container used for transport and storage of fluids and bulk materials. The construction of the IBC container and the materials used are chosen depending on the application, i.e. there are various types available in the market.

Note - writing "IBC container" is like writing "Intermediate bulk container container"

I have used one, a 275 gallon poly tank, for years with no issues.

Do you have a picture?? I would like to see your set up so I can get an ideal. If you don't mind

And what are people using for hand pumps?
Are there significant differences?
TSC sells one for $50 which looks exactly like the HF one for $30. But then TSC has hand pumps up to $160.
