Gale, I agree with you. In "our day" Sears was a reliable place to shop, and if they didn't have it in stock, you could look through the catalog and find what you wanted. Sears could get it to you in short order. Today, with Amazon.com, Best Buy, Lowes, HD and WalMart/Target, there's not much loyalty to a store that's out of the way, in a bad area of town, or simply not convenient to get to. As you said, the "now generation" will be the shoppers with money to spend in 5 to 10 years and without their loyalty to a brand, Sears will most likely meet their demise.
Shenanigans like these "remarketed" Harbor Freight tools at outrageous prices, lessening quality of products, lack of service in outmoded stores and a perception from many customers of lessened corporate viability, it's only a matter of time for Sears. At this point, I don't think they could do much to turn around their doom.
