I still vividly remember about 30 years ago, working on my lawn mower, had a 9/16 nut that was rusted on the bolt, cranking on it with a 3/8 ratchet and the socket cracked. I rammed my hand into the motor block, cut the top off my knuckle. I threw that socket at least 3 miles down the field (Yeah I know) and swore then I'd never use another "made in India" tool... Went to Sears on the way home from the hospital and bought my first Craftsman socket set. Since then, it's been "quality tools" for me... but now, I have compromised and use HF tools for "non heavy duty" jobs When I get into a really "stubborn" situation, I get reluctant to push or pull too much and think back to that day and cringe...
