I am attaching a photo with the knob circled in yellow. Kubota refers to this as the "3-point hitch lowering speed knob." According to the manual, it has three settings:fast, slow and lock.
The salesman adjusted it with the Bushog SQ160 on the back. It transformed the jerky lowering of the attachment to a smooth motion. I have been using it on the property and have had no further issue.
Sounds like we are talking about the same knob....not sure why it didn't work for you.
:thumbsup:The problem in those models seems to be jerkiness in slow lifting, not lowering, the knob under seat only affects lowering.
:thumbsup:Oh my new friend.. if it was only that simple..Please bear with us old curmudgeons. If you try to raise the 3pt hitch slowly with an implement on the back is where the problem comes from. Now that said, all of the tractors are not equal. some are much worse than others...You can read for days on this subject. here is a little info. Hope yours does not have this problem.

Tractor weight is important when pulling heavy loads or lifting with the FEL. If you have your tires filled, and use a ballast when lifting heavy loads you should be fine. Just remember to keep heavy loads close to the ground when transporting and avoid side hill travel with a load on the FEL. The lower a full bucket is to the ground when moving the easier it is to control the machine. If you feel the wheels coming up, drop that bucket on the ground and let the tires come down. The closer the bucket is to the ground the faster you can get it under control.
