Simply "WOW"!! I guess that talent is one thing your family in not "Short" on!!
Very impressive even if he had been building them for years!!
Thank you very much. My son has been reading all the comments and he sure do appreciate what you guys are saying about his build and I do too
Speechless!! That is an outstanding piece of workmanship by him! Gibson or Fender got nothing on him!! I can see your son(s) eventually going into business doing nothing but building custom guitars. Tell him congrat's on the fine job, and thank both of them for their service to country.
Thanks kebo. He actually made some changes to the guitar over the Gibson Les Paul. The Les Paul has an inherent problem with the head stock cracking. Daniel designed his head stock to be thicker to eliminate that issue. Thanks for your kind remarks and he's read your comments and appreciate them very much. Thanks. Paul,
Fantastic looking guitar. I really like the color scheme he chose. Certainly something for you both to proud of.
Ya the color is what got me as well. Kind of like a tiger blue. Thanks for commenting
Isn't it a great feeling when your kids surpass you in their skills, especially things you haven't even taught them?! You realize they are really grown up. Not only is the craftsmanship look fine, his playing sounds, to non-musical me, pretty fine, too. What's his next project- an 18th Century mahogany highboy chest of drawers with carved details? You can make the brass pulls for him!
It's kind of funny. When my sons were growing up they would see me restoring old gas pumps, Coke machines, coin operated games ..... and although thought it was cool they never showed any lasting interest in that stuff although I did give him a pool table and a pin ball machine. His grandfather ( my dad) was a true craftsman when it came to wood but passed away long before Daniel (the builder) was born but if he was alive today he would be so proud of what his grandson have done with this build. thanks again for your nice comments.
Good grief!
Bilko beat me to it; I was gonna say "The nut don't fall far from the tree"
 thank you sir.
Awesome! A song comes to mind that seems appropriate. "Cats in the Cradle", by Harry Chapin.
Thanks Ramsay. When Daniel comes home next summer you'll have to drop by for a personal viewing.
Maybe a concert on Youtube will be coming soon.....Great Job..
