Small gas-powered water pumps

Beautiful! Any gold in them thar hills California?

Now that I looked into this further I know some of the terminology better. Suction would be about three feet. Any guesses on whether or not I could bypass a cistern? I'm not mechanically inclined when it comes to machinery and it's capabilities.

It would be great if I could just hook into a few irrigation lines at the top of the hill and let 'er rip. It looks like the pressure is right for such? I was planning two lines with each about 100 lineal feet running downhill about 6-10 feet over that stretch. Perhaps one sprinkler head every ten feet. I suppose a regulator of some sort would be necessary? Usage would be May-September maybe 2x per week.

More research needed.

Heck, I may just take up gold mining too. There's been a few mines around here in the past. Not much info on creek mining but with AU prices so high maybe I can find a few grams now and then.

Thanks for your time folks. I run a fairly popular hardwood flooring forum and I know how important the contributors are.

Doorbell wire? Hmmmn.

I use a similar pump to power my backpack gold dredge.

The only thing I don't like about mine is the fact that I've got to prime it.

Centrifugal pumps push better than they suck. Get the pump as close to water level as practical. If you have a 1.5" intake, use a 2.5" suction line.
