Fogging oil worked great for me but when I ran out all I could find was Sta-Bil brand Fogging Oil. My last can was Sea Foam Fogging Oil but I can't seem to find it, only Sea Foam motor treatment. Is this the same stuff in a different package?

Gold Eagle makes good stuff. They are the actual packagers, so they actually make everything they sell. You should get what you expect out it.
Not many companies fill aerosol cans. I'd be willing to bet Seafoam fogging oil is probably contract filled by someone else.

I have used the fogging oil made by Evinrude, and I know they did not make it them selves...I bought gold eagle once too, it worked like the rest.. Lots of smoke at the begining of boating season, but no known engine troubles..

All fogging oils are about the same. I have used 100's of cans of this stuff in the years I have been in the marine industry but as soon as fuel injection came around we now dont waste our money.

On all the carb and fuel injected stuff what is now recommended it to take a 1 gallon gas can, put in a double shot of Ethanol Marine Stabilizer and then 13oz of TWC3 marine 2 cycle oil. We run this though the motor for 5 minutes or so. The mix ends up being about 10 to 1 and will smoke a little but leaves a nice film on everything internal. I have been doing this since the early 2000's, maybe 2001 or 2002 with no issues on everything from boats to lawn mowers. Works great and is cheap.

On things like boats I just simply put a hose down in the gallon gas can and then connect it to the engine temporarily.

Chris, that sounds good..Maybe now i can try it out?

Yes, it works great. A quart of the oil is about $3 and it will last you a long time. Its the recommended procedure for the new Mercury, Volvo, and other major brands of marine engines.

I buy StaBil but there are other brands like Star Brite. Its either blue or black. The red stuff is a waste of money with ethanol fuels which is what 99% of fuel is now days, well at least a 10% mix.
