T190 not able to grease lower lift arm pivot.

I like to use the lift arm stop because it gives more room to loosen the hoses and get cylinder out of the frame pocket. Leaving the lift arm down and using a jack to reinstall does give the advantage of removing both cylinders at the same time if need be.
On SJC machines, they will go into float without engine running, turn key on with seat bar down, press Press to Operate Button and put handle in float - that will releave any pressure then turn key off.

Augustrees, I have seen a few guys do this with hoses to get the zerks in an easier access point, Works great - good idea.

Another note; when putting pivot pins back in do not tighten the nut on the retaining bolt tight against the bushing, over tightening can stretch the bolt which reduces the sheer strength - bolt could break on pin work out. Just run the nut up close and double nut it if the self-locking of the nut seems loose.

I had two closed up grease fittings in both my lower rear lift arms in my 2006 T190. There are no replaceable bushings in that bore. I confirmed this with the dealer. The procedure I took was putting the lift arms in float mode and used a floor jack and lifted the bucket up about 12 inches. Drove the pin out from the inside of the engine compartment with a hammer and 1 inch socket. Then I bent a nail in the shape of an allen wrench and tapped on it in the hole where the zerk was located (that I had removed). Knocked the junk out of there and put the pin back in from the outside and reinstalled the zerk and it now takes grease. The battery side is the same procedure except that you must remove the battery.

I also replaced a bushing on the bobtach upper pivot on the right side. It would not take grease. The bushing had gotten turned and slid out just a bit. What a pain to get that sucker out. But it did come out finally bit by bit and put in a new one and things are nice and tight again. Paid $11.71 for the bushing at the dealership.

I have found 20 zerks so far. Is that what you guys have come up with?

20 on the outside is correct. There are 2 more under the cab on the steering levers unless you have SJC drive control. These 2 should be greased @ 250 hr. (enigne oil change) intervals.

When you removed and repaired your lower lift cylinder pins, DO NOT tighten the pin retaining bolt tight. If the bolt that came out did not have smooth shoulder of the bolt coming all the way through that woul allow you to tighten nut without pulling up against the welded bushing, then use a self tightening bolt to run the nut up close but not pull against that bushing. Over tightening these pin retaining bolts can cause them to stretch, reducing the shear strength and break off. If replacing use a grade 8 bolt long enough so shank of the bolt comes completly through top & bottom holes.

Does this hold true for the front bob tach upper pivot pin/bushing? I did replace the bolt on that one after I broke the one that was on there.

I am also not quite sure what you mean with the bolt that holds the pin. Can you refer me to some search terms and I can maybe look at some pictures after googling it? Thanks for your response.

The pin retaining bolts I was talking about are item #27 & #28. All the bolts used for this purpose should be slightly loose and have either a self locking nut or double nut prevent chance of strecthing the bolt.

The Pin retaining bolts on my T190 are frozen. What is the best way to free them up. Heat, Drill or lubrication?

Those bolts are standard grade #8 bolts. Heat them or cut them off and replace.

One of mine actually broke off.

If you cut them off. What is the best way to get the rest of the bolt out?

Center punch and hammer.
