Did you hit the curb or did the curb hit you? Curbs are sneaky that way, you gotta be careful around them!!

I had a '94 with the 3.3 which went about 140K IIRC.
It overheated after it had got passed around the family, suffered a coolant leak, got topped up with water, froze, all beyond my control by then.

Interesting that it was an in-line V6 with front drive.
Most FWD are (& were) transverse engines; a royal b*tch to access the rear bank.
My guess is that the 2000 had the 2.7, which had a less than stellar rep.

I think the 3.5 was a DOHC, but you can look all this up, probably on Edmunds, or maybe even Wiki.

PS Watch out when the roads are WET !
The tire width is NOT a good match for the weight they carry, i.e. mine would hydroplane as low as 55 or 60 MPH.
Tire brand didn't seem to matter, they were just FAT tires.
Mine had aluminum rims, ES trim/package level, NOT good for curb finding by feel.
BTW, did you slide out on a wet road when you hit the curb ?

Congrats! Getting that first car is exciting.

Congrats!
It should serve you well. Just remember it's an old car and not a new sports car and it will treat you good. Stay on top of the oil changes, 3-5k miles oil filter every time.

No, it was dry, but it was at night...Also, I'm not used to parking along the street...

Kyle, that's bound to be better than my first car; a 1946 Chevy 2-door sedan, 10 years old at the time, with thoroughly worn out mismatched tires, almost 100k miles on it, and front of radiator full of grass seeds from a farmer driving it through fields and pastures. And you don't know what you've missed until you drive one with a vacuum shift.

Congrats Kyle! You have come farther than I have, I need to start saving up for a decent rig to drive soon. Spent all my savings on my Deere 317. :D Congratulations bud!
