Looked up the model of tiller (Maschio makes some of JD tillers) that's like mine - it's the U180. No shiftable gearbox, though. Wouldn't wish for a creeper tranny if I had the 4-speed tiller - wouldn't need it.

That 5101E L was his friends, he put all his stuff there cause he quit farming then it was the last day on the lease then it was gone. Found it 2 weeks later. I was running a 2012 E L too! At the dealers with a H260 Loader, God d@mn slow hydraulic pump liked the 4 second cycle time on the 6430 Premium better.

I'll give you some tiller advice, . Use gear type tillers and get the tiller that has the most tines on it you can get for its size. I saw this beat up C230 there at the dealers too. God it was a dogs breakfast. The tines look like they were way overdue on replacement, and it looks like the opposite of a Nike logo.

You do have a large dealership. For example, my closest dealership has four tractors on the lot right now. A 5085m without a cab, 4320 without a cab, 3720 with a cab and a 1026r. They aren't what you would call a mega-store, but they do a surprisingly good business. All the other stores around me are owned by a chain of dealers, and they have more equipment, but nothing like that. I should add the second closest dealer to me has no tractors, and I believe they are trying to liquidate that store because it's in the worst part of the murder capital of America. Needless to say, I don't go to that store much.

Yep... that's what the U180 is (and mine) - gear drive. 6 tines per. :thumbsup:

I would say my dealers a pretty big dealer then.. They have everything except a 9R

I think you need more, ooommmmmppph! LOL! 29 GPM would be good. I saw a No Cab 6430 W/673 SL that had the 29 GPM pump. My salesman said they cant put the 29gpm on the standard with cab. Which made me sad . He said it would knock out the kubotas

No Loader on mine, just fat tires with AQ Along with free weights, free beacon and free radio lol!

I was looking at the MY2012 5085M again and it was $46,500. Its way quieter at 1850 RPM compared to idle on my MY2010 its about the same LOL!

That's great to hear! My 6405 loaner is LOUD to say the least compared to my 4700. I'm hoping the MY2012 5085M will be quieter, which it sounds like it will be based on your observations. Maybe even as quiet as my 4700 was, at least at 540E PTO speed.

I think I had her at 2000 RPM for a few seconds it was probably just a few more dB louder. Its quiet driving the open station then with the cab I could say it could be quiet as a cricket .

The 4720 is louder than the 5085M, I could say the 5085M is a bit quieter than the 4700.
