i have a komatsu wb140-2.
the problem im having is after running tractor for 5 or more hours i will shut it down. go back after 30 mins and it will barely turn over(cranks slow).iv replaced the battery, starter and cked cables.
it almost seems like something is getting in the cyls causing a higher compression.
any time less then 5 hrs like 2-3 and no problem.\
eventually it will start and run fine.
anybody out there that can help thanks

It sounds to me like your engine is exceeding thermal equilibrium but when allowed to thoroughly cool down all tolerances return to normal, so I have to ask:
1) Is your radiator free from any restrictions (squeaky clean core & fins)?
2) Is the engine cooling system clean, and do you have the proper coolant installed?
3) Is your thermostat operating correctly?
4) Is the air filter restricted at all?
5) What type of engine oil are you using?
6) What is the ambient temperature when operating the tractor?

first i need to know what thermal equilibrium is.
coolant is what evers cheapest.
oil is rottela 15w40
radiator appears is be clean and free of debris.
i have been noticing a lose of coolant lately havent figuired out where it's going yet.
would a headgasket do this?
thanks for responding

You probably know it as Optimal Operating Temperature. That is when all of the different (engine, in this case) components have reached their maximum growth from heat, which is a predetermined temperature usually set by a thermostat for around 190 degrees F. When this temperature is exceded oil films are compromised by further expanding components and mild forms of seizure take place. When cooled, nomal tolerances are restored.

coolant is what evers cheapest.
Okay, wrong answer. Ever been chemically flushed?

oil is rottela 15w40
That's okay.

radiator appears is be clean and free of debris.
"Appears" isn't the same as positively. Might want to shine a light through it.

Assume you mean "loss" of coolant. Is there a coolant recovery system on the tractor? If not, you may want to install one.
Three ways you can check for a blown head gasket: 1) Cylinder leakdown test. 2) Compression test. 3) Exhaust gas contamination test of the coolant - sometimes this can be performed by observing the radiator top tank for bubbles in the coolant.
