What's up with the canopy on that gator? :confused2:

It is called a Croc Top, and has been great when out in the sun and the rain. A bit noisier as the engine noise sounds are a bit louder. It is attached to the lift box so can open into a wide yawn when raising the box.
I've had it for 13 years now, and the 4x2 hasn't skipped a beat, nor lost a pound of air in the tires, but is on the second battery. I use it a lot in the woods and around the 22 acres. The grand kids give it unrelentless attention behind the wheel. Here is a 2001 pic.

See ya later!

My father, who will be 92 on 3/31, standing next to my JD 3520 and his JD 730.

My father passed at 91, and miss him greatly (been 9 years). He was a Deere engineer starting in '36 and spent his first 13 years designing and testing the first Deere Model R diesel, after which he also was involved with the rest of the 2-cyl diesels including the 730.
I wish I'd kept this model L, but needed to pull an 8' tandem disk. It would pull it, but I thought I was abusing it so traded up.

Here is a pic I found with my Dad at a 2-cyl Club show in IA a few years back. This is the Model R that was his baby for many years.
