Just picked up my parted out '64 110 from the paint shop. Took a shot of some of the painted parts. Now the fun begins.

Not mine. My dad sold to a friend of mine. And I just sold it for him because he bought another one from my dad when he upgraded. Deeres passed down the line.

Both Sterff's and your 4310 are great looking machines...I think the 4300/4310 and 4400/4410 are some of the best compacts Deere ever built...
(Now the safety blurb) But both you guys have your ROPS folded!!! What kind of example is that for the younger and newer TBN fans?

Well.......... About the rops. If you look close they aren't folded but gone. Previous owner bent them up and removed them. I know. I know. I'll order a replacement. Stupid

How many hours on yours?

625 trouble free hours

625 trouble free hours

So far I've got about 880 hours on my 4400 (pic is in a previous response to this thread)...80 hours are mine, the rest from the previous owner.
Knock on wood, both of our machines and Sterff's (which is practically brand new) will go many many more hours with no problems!
I was at a rental yard a week or so ago. They had an old 4300 that was definitely rode hard and put away wet...had 5000+ hours and still starting like it was new!

Thanks it is a great machine.

Thanks! It was pretty dirty in that picture because I had just finished spraying captan/immidan. I keep the ROPS down for mowing in our orchard. We have around 100 fruit and nut trees and it's impossible to mow with it up. I do put it up however when the loader is on most of the time.

pclausen I am so sorry to read about your fathers accident. Since I read your post I think about him while I move about on my tractor. I have only had my 2520 coming up on 1 year this summer, and realized just how fast I could have had an big problem as twice a rear tire came up off of the ground oh so guickly, and scared the **** out of me. Both times it was only a small tilt in the slope of the ground, but each time the load in the bucket was all to one side. I always wear the seatbelt, and I stop immediately outside the garage door to put the rops up.

royjackson thanks for harping on the issue we do not need to read about anybody else not coming in for supper!
