Newbie - Loader control valve DT185L

Hey!
New to the forum but have read pages of questions.
I have a 1978 Kubota DT185L tracor with loader, three point and PTO. Three point and PTO work great. Loader acts as if it has a mind of it's own. Up when it wants, down only if it wants. The loader is an org equip Kubota 1200, although the control valve was made by another firm whom I cannot remember. See pic.

Local dealer says parts may not be available to rebuild it. The in and out ports look to be 3/4 ORB, the work ports measure 5/8" on the male threads of the hose fittings. That does not match the ORB spec charts. All of the hoses are marked 3/8 which would be the ID of the hose.

I would appreciate suggestions on buying a replacement valve. Thx.

Would you like a joystick valve with regen, float and PB?

I don't know what "regen, float and PB" are but I'm OK with an exact replacement of my two handle valve. I think 8 GPM should be plenty. Thx.

I think that's a good valve for your application.

Regen- for fast dump of your bucket or other implement.
Float- in the float fuction the cylinder is free to move.
PB- Power Beyond. If you want to add another valve you should add the in port of that valve to the power beyond port of this valve.

The two lever valve you linked to will work, and it has PB. It did not mentioned anything about regen and float, which is used a lot on a loader.

That same valve can be had with a joystick also.

It all depends on what you want.
