Next grab the extension cord w/ the male and female Deutch connectors on
it, then disconnect all 4 hydraulic quick disconnects that feed the FEL, BE
SURE to MAKE SURE you have relieved all pressure off your bucket and FEL
before you disconnect, go in a big circle to everything is relaxed.

fasse-20.jpg

I want to interject here that YOU are responsible for all installations and
YOU need to make sure everything you do is right AFTER you have checked
w/ a professional as to if my way is "right" or wrong. I simply show
how I did mine. Do your homework, do not try this at home! We are
trained professionals operating on a closed area. In other words, Caveat
Emptor ...

So making sure you send the correct end thru, grab the male deautch connector end
and grab all 4 hydraulic lines and feed the wire thru the Nylon Protective
Cover. I pulled the hydraulic hose up and rearwards at a 45 degree angle
and it was easy to fish the wire w/ the connector on it thru the mesh.

fasse-21.jpg

Now your up to the area where the rubber hoses turn into hard lines. Feed
the wire and connector thru that hole .

fasse-22.jpg

...and over to where were placing the Fasse valve on our mount. This is
where I think I might shorten the cable, I need to learn about Deautch
Connectors now, I think they are "serviceable" .

fasse-23.jpg

You can see here I have disconnected the curl hoses off of the curl cylinder.
You need to pull the pin on the FEL stand and make a little bit of room and
pull both hose up thru to the top, BE SURE to remember which hose
went where, top or bottom, on that cylinder, it should be like mine, the
90 degree connector went to the top of the cylinder or to the rear of the cylinder.
No need to replace nor to modify these OE hoses! Later you will
see , we use a straight -8 O-Ring Boss X -6 MJIC fitting for the 90 degree
hose end fitting into the Fasse valve and we use a 90 Degree -8 O Ring Boss X -6 MJIC fitting for the straight end hose. More on this later.

Connect the male and female Deautch connectors under the control stick and pull slack forward.

The battery connector leads have a crimp hole that is way to big for us.
Get a couple of blue end connctors that just fit over the bolts in the
posative and negative battery connectors.
Cut off the Fasse OE connectors and install these. There is very little wire
here, in front of that fuse (needs to be longer) I stripped back
about 1/2" then folded the copper wires in half
and pinched it tight THEN I stuck that into the blue crimp connector, worked
good. Connect the red to the posative and black to negative. Just unscrew
the nut off the battery cable ends and slip the wires on. I might redo what I
am about to suggest at a later date but I rolled all the excess wire up and
telephone tied them and laid the 6" diameter roll of excess wires on top of
the battery and buttoned it up.

Here are the connectors I cut off the Fasse wiring harness (Big ones ) and
the blue new that fit the bolts .

Wires on top of battery, battery almst shoved home back into it's hole.

Super good stuff Artisan. Anxiously awaiting the final assembly. I'm about 80% sure I'm going to do the same mod to my BX25. Spent most of yesterday cutting down trees and into 4'-6' sections to haul back to my wood pile. Used the BXpanded forks but still had to get off the tractor and maneuver the logs onto the forks most of the time. A grapple would have been heaven for my now sore back.

By the way, would love a pic of the new FEL handle with the new control button if you get the chance.

It's coming Chris...

RE: the Deutsch Connectors, they are the DT Series
If you have never delt w/ them, like ME, then
you need to learn. Some stuff on U-Tube is OK, nothing like from the horses
mouth though. CLICK HERE and look for and review the DT SERIES video
and the WIRE STRIPPING AND CRIMPING video. (This is if you want to
shorten the wire connectors that come on the Fasse Push Button Grip)

Chris, I am doing this in anticipatation of doing EXACTLY what you are doing
now, some day. I am posative it will be the perfect tool for the job. Of corse I have
other things up my sleeve I will use it for but log manipulation will be
EASY with this I am sure. I am wondering how good it will be at munching
down on a pile of split logs and movin' em around... :D

Everything is pretty much falling into place...I am very
excited as the fruits of my labors will materialize before long. I await
fittings... I blew the turn on some fittings and reordered and they have not
shipped yet. Err.................

I am going to elaborate a little more on the Deutsch Connectors.

So the FASSE Push Button Grip ( #PBGRIP and Extension Cord) come with
the awsome Deutsch brand watertight connectors. They are high quality
stuff. If your like me, and if your going to want to cut off the excess wiring
so you do not have to loop it and hang it, and do a 1st class "Union" :D
job of it you need to learn how to manipulate these electrical connectors.
there spendy, cutting them off and installing anew is a waste and not
necessary. I see there is one caveat and that is you need a special tool
to do a crimp. At least so I see in the videos. basically you take the Deutsch
connector apart and cut off excess wire then crimp on a new "Pin" and
reinstall, it is the crimping that requires I believe an HBT-48-00 crimp tool.
I do not have any pins to see if this can be circumvented or not. If anyone has posative info please chime in.

I believe there are female and male pins as well. I am attempting at finding all the awnsers.

One Your Tube I found the videos that are on the manufacturers site, here
they are;

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hX9rh2qGgKQ"]Deutsch Contact Crimping Instructions - YouTube[/ame]

Your dealing w/ a 2 pin DT Connector, I believe the tutorial is using a
triangle style but the moves are all the same. I did see where one teacher
highly recommends using di-electric grease when making these up, it certainly can't hurt, IMO.

Stay tuned, Same Bat Time, Same bat Channel! :D

Artisan,
Deutsch connectors are like the connector plugs we use on aircraft. There are male and female pins. The male pins go in the plug and the female go in the socket, or reversed. The crimper for these pins needs to crimp all around to pin equally, or it will not go into the connector. Regular hardware store or auto supply store wire stripper/crimpers just crimp on two sides. These pins are small also, so they need the special crimper. You might check used aircraft wiring tools or avioinic tools with a google search for a cheaper pair.

These pins are small and threading that wire into the end without getting stray wires is for young eyes. Stray wires on the pin can stop the pin from locking into the connector. So be sure all wire strands are in the pin before crimping.

Thank You Brandi! Looks like I get to loop the extra wires till I find the right
tool, morover for the right price. The cheapest I found it for was 217.00 on
ebay.

Artisan,
That about sounds right. Too bad you don't live near Houston. We could borrow the hangar's crimper for a few hours.
