I suppose that the other people who test drove the truck probably were not driving it like it was their own. I think it will be better. Just can't wait to get it here.

Congratulations on your purchase, the Expeditions are nice vehicles.

Referencing the Michigan State Patrol tests: I would NOT want to be in a Tahoe at 139 mph, pursuit rated or not. Yikes.

Well I made my choice and I did it. I bought an loaded limited expedition el.
Its new to us but 2007. . .
Nice ride. You'll enjoy it.

I checked the dash read out for the expedition when I test drove a used one at another dealer, it showed 9 mpg. . .
It will get better than that. As I posted earlier, we had a '05 and '08. Also, my Mom had a '03 and currently drives a '11. None of them EL, but that shouldn't matter much. We got 17 mpg for an overall average.

I've lived to the point that I don't intend to be in anything traveling at 139 mph! (except maybe an airplane) :D

Its going to be a long week as it won't be delivered until a least next friday.

I don't intend on finding out where the speed limiter is on this one. I'm past that point in my life now that I have four awesome kids. My 03 tahoe limiter was a 160km ish, I found it coming out of Ponton, Manitoba. North of the 53rd.

We are purchasing a new expedition el after having a gmc yukon. The yukon has been nothing but trouble after 100k miles with the most costly repair being the transmission. We,ve repaired the ac 4 times, new instrument cluster, dvd player out, abs motor, transmission, starter, battery, and water line to back window.

On the other hand, my Dodge 2500 mega cab diesel with 165k on the clock, all by me, has needed an evaporator core and carrier bearing. I pull over 14k with it regularly and still no problems.

Thumbs up on the RAM!

2004 Yukon. I bought the Ram new in 07 after having a lot of problems with an 04 ford 6.0l. I bought the Dodge to spite ford believing it truly wouldn't be much better. Now at almost 5 years old it has proven to be the absolute hands down best value truck I could own. Before this Dodge I had a 99, 00, 02, 03, and 04 Ford diesels. I could have owned one Dodge for the 5 Fords I had.

Ssshhh!
We can't have you going around saying how great your Dodge truck is, this place is packed full of Ford diesel owners. What's next, you sold your Kubotas for a TYM...? ;-)

I wouldn't buy a pre-07 Burb/Tahoe either.

My '07 EL would get over 18mpg interstate driving, my current '11 Exp gets close to 20 mpg interstate, 16 around town. Good vehicles.
