When did they quit making this model? I bought one used that is supposedly a 2008. How can I find out?

Also, the two screws that hold one side of the engine cowl are missing. Has anyone had issues with those screws working loose/falling out?

The easiest way to get a approx. year would be to look at the engine serial number tag. It will have a date of engine manufacture.

There should be a serial number on a sticker under the seat. That's all you need for ordering parts. If it falls before or after some major change, the serial number will help narrow down when it was made. Most of the parts sites show the major transitions in the serial number list.
