Walmart - End of an Era

I went back to short hair and bought a hair trimming kit and now cut my own hair and my son's hair....have been for years..saved all that gas, wasted time waiting and sitting and I spared my ears from all the stupidity...not to mention the money saved....

Wife's been doing mine for the last 5 years or so. Sometimes it comes out better than others, but good enough.

One of the guys whos used to be a greeter here told me even the store managers were unhappy with the order that came from on high. So maybe some refused to abide by it for the time being.:laughing:

I bet the managers have some leeway on how they utilize personal, some may feel strongly enough to use the resources at the door, rather than in other areas.

I havn't had a store bought hair cut since my divorce in 97. got long hair in a pony tial.

I keep the ends trimmed.. no more hair cut bills.

got a long beard I'm working on now. cut 6" off last week and it still hits my stomache!

that store may experience an inordinate amount of 'loss' and thus the manager may feel the 'loss prevention' is worth it?

It pays to shop. Wifey needs a USB thumb drive to back up some files and she is going to Walmart today. We figured out the drive size she needs and I checked the prices at Amazon which was $13ish for 16GB and $25ish for 32GB. Walmart was $15 for 16GB and $50 for 32GB. Figured she really should get 32GB not 16GB. If she needed 16GB we would buy at Walmart to have the drive today.

But 32GB would be better so Amazon gets the sale and we will have the drive in a couple of days. No way will we pay twice the price. Assuming Walmart actually has the drive in the store...

Good place. I got my first flat screen monitor there years ago.
Reminds me that my first desktop pc back when W-98 was just coming out
had a hard drive of 10 GIG. Figured I'd never fill it up. Then came digital cameras which sure changed that theory.
