I've got a ym2610 that will quit pulling when it gets in a bind. Some gears worse than others. I immediately thought clutch slipping but I have decided that's not the case. It's got 4 manual gears and RN123 in a hydraulic fashion. I think it's something to do with the hydraulic part. I've drained and checked/cleaned the filter and put in new fluid. The tractor has 20hrs or so on it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried the pto to see if it is slipping. That will eliminate the clutch if it does not stlip. The pto goes straight through from the clutch and does not rely on the power shift.

This may sound like a stupid question but I'll ask anyway. Did you use hydraulic/transmission fluid?

Does the 3 point lift as it should?

The problem occured before I changed the fluid and pto and lift operates normally

Sounds like a trans pressure test is in order. I imagine someone here has the service manual and can guide you thru that simple operation. hth

Havnt figured it out yet but I'm thinking inadequate pressure also.

The 2610 is one of the few models with a PSP. Fredricks shows a PSPG. " # PSP-2610 " which is the Gasket. So I'm sure it has a PSP. Kinda chuckled on the Parts #'s. They don't show a PSP. so my guess it was best to leave it out since the first Abb. might be SOL. :p
Couldn't help it I had a good Laugh trying to find the Pump and # :D

Yeah the pres test would at least give an idea if its a low pressure or internal leak or a mechanical problem.

I have my doubts its a powershift/geartrain problem as bullet pruf as everybody says they are and especially since it affects all gears or did I miss that but a bad clutch is my suspect?

It could be as simple as the relief valve is stuck open or a broken spring or bad clutch like I suspect etc lets cross our fingers for this guy.
