When I started my 790 yesterday, (it hasn't been used since December), I noticed that the left trun signal is on, and I can't shut it off.
Also, the right tail light and right warning lights are on, but not flashing.
There is no difference in any of the 3 positions of the Turn Signal switch, and trying to turn on the hazard lights doesn't work. (all of the other lights work as expected)

I'm thinking that this is a problem with a switch, but not sure whether it would be the turn signal switch or the light switch.

Any ideas???

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards,
Mike S.

Probably the turn signal switch.
It might just be some corrosion on one or more of the connections but I expect you'll have to replce the switch.

Thanks Roy.
I'll try to get at the switch this weekend.

You might want to try the lights with the turn signal switch unplugged. If the lights stay on look for rodent damage along the wiring harness. It could be chewed insulation allowing wires to cross.

Flasher could be stuck

Flasher could be stuck

Good point! Might be a flasher relay too...but that (I would think) should prevent any flashing at all.
But, it's a quick and easy thing to check.

Had this twice with my 2210, both times started after being left out in the rain/snow...both r required new swtich to remedy

Thanks for the help, and the answer is... Mice!
My tractor is now in the shop having some of the wiring replaced.
It appears that the field mice decided that it would be nice to build a home behind the dashboard, and chewed through the turn signal wiring.

Any ideas on how to keep the mice from doing this again?

Mike S.

I've used a bag of mothballs...try hanging a couple bags from the steering wheel and inside the engine compartment.
Mice (rodents in general) don't like mothballs.
