I was under the impression that loading the front tires put excess stress on the front axle and is not recommended. I think my Kubota manual actually says somewhere to never load the front tires due to the axle configuration. I will have to dig it out and look it up.

shouldnt hurt the axles any. Just like the rears, tire ballast and/or wheel weights are NOT carried by the axles.

Harder on the power steering? Maybe?

I was at my Kubota dealer today and asked about loading all four tires. I was told that they actually recomend it, when using ground engaging attachments.
