Thanks!! I'll have many more to come...
Nice looking work. Better than mine looks, which isn't saying much though.
Thanks for the compliment!! I havent been welding for very long (2009 in the garage at home, 2010 in the shop at school)... All you have to do, is to have the desire to make your next weld better than the last. Im still learning too
I think you have a future in it if you wanted one
Thanks!! Im trying... I really like to weld, and I don't want to work in an office, so we'll see how it goes. My setup? Ive got a Hobart Stickmate with a scratch-start tig rig, a Hobart Handler 187 wirefeed, and a Hypertherm Powermax 45 plasma cutter
Not Bad ChuckE, while your young LEARN Solidworks preferably or
AUTOCAD. GOOGLE'S SketchUp is free and VERY powerful. Drawing your
designs in CAD then having a plasma or water jet company cut
complicated parts and mailing them to you will open up a whole new
world.
When the "Light" came on in my head and I buckled down and
learned it was one the smartest things I ever did. It turns a guy into
a quality fabricator...believe it...
Thank you!! Im trying, lol. I've got it installed on my computer but I don't have the time... Im in high school full time and I work three jobs... SOOOOOON!! lol. I will, thanks for the advice
Nice to see a teenager doing something constructive instead of playing video games. I liked your ring roller but how do you tighten it down, how do you start the rod into it if it's bolted solidly to start with.
I try lol... Actually, I bet I spend as much time on the computer doing internet related things as I do in the shop, maybe more... The ring roller? The two outside rollers are adjustable up and down, by simply removing the bolts and putting it back in another set of holes. To start the rings, I bend the end of the stock slightly then crank er' through
And to everyone else, thanks for looking!! Yall sure are a welcoming bunch
