I'm new to TractorByNet and would like to say hello to all and at the same time post a question for the Ford tractor history buffs.
What was the model and year of the first production Ford tractor with live pto.
This is probably a simple question for some but I just can't seem to nail it down. Thanks in advance!

The NAA had live hydraulics, but not live PTO. I'm not sure what the first dual-clutch Ford model was, but the NAA and 600 series all had a single stage clutch to my knowledge. I'm thinking it may have been the early 2000 model, but that's really a guess.

Edit: I found a reference to a 800 series with live PTO, so it may have started with that series of Ford tractors.

Edit 2: Nope, I was still wrong. It appears that a 5-speed transmission and live PTO was available on the Ford 600 models, specifically the 660 model. Actually, an add-on hydraulic live PTO was available for the NAA, so I have to agree with your original post Opti-Mist.

600/800 could be had with 5 speed and dual clutch in late 1954 on the 55 model year.
