ant problem

We have ants outside all over the patio and some coming inside the house.
We bought some stuff from Southern States called Talstar EZ Granular.
I have put it out twice and it has had no effect.
I used to have good results with Diazone.
What do you recommend?

Yep, I liked Diazinon and the best substitute I've found is Malathion. But Ortho Max works pretty well, too.

I used the Talstar liquid concentrate and put it in my sprayer. It seemed to do the trick.

I stockpiled diazinon when it became illegal. Wonderful stuff and I still have some that I used for ants just this year. I think they are seeking cool and moisture.

It's a ANT BAIT. The worker ants take the poison to the queen and kill her thereby not making any more ants.

I placed this around a ant hill, the next day there were thousands of dead ants that the still live ones were bringing out of the hole. Next day even they were dead. Not an ant to be found, and that was two tears ago, they never came back .

Ditto...don't know if it's the "best" but it sure works!

We use Termidor...

It is a favorite of the Pest Control guys...

It has very specific application requirements... i.e., narrow band around the exterior perimeter because not following directions can wipe out beneificial insects like honey bees...

Terro has worked well for me. We were infested with carpenter ants last year and it wiped them out. It did take a while about a week. Hope they don't come back this year.
