This video below reminded me of the automated system that answers the calls at my bank.

I hate these things with a passion and just wish I could speak to a human.

Every time I try to call this dang thing. It most always gets my answers to it's questions wrong. lol

Anybody else have trouble with these automated telephone receptionists. For gods sake. Give me a human to talk too.

That's why I don't have a landline; after paying nearly $500 then waiting several months to have the lines run down the toen road on existing poles, , I couldn't get past the "Talking computer." Trying to speak with some foreign outsource is bad enough; but computer which doesn't understand english is ridiculous. After hearing that saccharin voice say "I'm sorry, I didn't understand your answer" for about the fifth time I commented "bleeping computer" I heard it one last time before I slammed down the phone.

That was 7 years ago, and 2 more attempts over the years have had the same result.

I hate them with a passion. Really makes me mad when the stupid thing hangs up on me.

Had to go through 3 of them today.

I truly beleive that it would actually be cheaper for these company's have a live person that could just get you to the person that can actually help. Some of these computer's tie up the system for 10 minuets or more.

At the very least they would have a happier customer.

Trac Phone 15 minuets with computer - hang up.
Another # 5/10 minuets with computer to get a live person. Live person could barley speak English.

Same deal with Virgin Mobile.

Bank & Power co. are pretty good.

Sometimes punching "0" works - sometimes saying Representative works.

Have you ever dialed a 1-800 number, and you have difficulty understanding the person, because of the dialect? It is not my intention to sound biased, but so many of these operations have been outsourced, the chances are very slim that you will be speaking to an individual in the United States. Call U.S. Airways, and you will reach a person in the Philippines. Scheduling with most of the other major Airlines, and the results are usually the same. Try calling Hughes Net and you will always be connected to someone in India. Just my thoughts.

I alway hit 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, , then say REPRESENTATIVE, or just Garble my words so the computer gets frustrated at me and gives me a human.

Often times I just punch random numbers and get some guy in research and development and he wonders how I got to HIM. I tell him the operator connected me can you get me back to HER.

Last fall I hired a "Live" answering service available 24/7 and holidays. My operators are in PA. This has worked out great for us. Especially when the customer gives their email address so I can get back to them quicker and after hours. The service only kicks in if we don't get to the phone on the 3rd ring. Ken Sweet

There is a girl by the name of Tuesday that answers the phone at my bank, I would guess her to be in her mid to late 20's. Confused the heck out of me one day when I called and she said 'Good Morning blah blah blah bank this is Tuesday.' having been sick alot that week I said 'WOW it's been a rough week I thought it was Friday already.' After she said it was Friday and her name is Tuesday I was still confused, I literally had been very sick all week.

I hate the infobots...I end up screaming at them..Saying AGENT works in many cases...The goofballs disabled "0" most of the time...I hate talking to a computer...I program them for crying out loud..I don't want to talk to one too.:mad:
