I was looking to hook up a valve or pressure switch on a adjusting rod to my jd disk so i could set the high i wanna disk, besides making a visual indicator with a rod?? any ideas? thanks

Is this a pull type disc? If yes you can purchase donuts/stops that slide over the rod on your cylinder to limit how much it retracts.

How about a small $10 laser level on the tractor, and an indicating rod attached to the disc frame

After calibration for level, mark your stick in inches for the depth the cutters are in the ground.

If you had the T-N-T setup, you could be very precise.

Get the stops. Lower the disk to the depth you want then purchase stops to add up to the thickness needed on the cylinder. By adding or taking away a few your adjustments are quick and easy.

Some cylinders have a small switch on the end and when this switch hits an adjustable stop will quit moving also giving depth control.

If the valve is a solenoid hyd valve , then two stop switch on the cyl would work.

Just set it to break the voltage to the solenoid when the depth is right, and a stop switch at the full raise position.



Then all you would have to do is press a button.

its an 8x2 cylinder from tractor supply rod should be 1 1/8
