STILL CANNOT POST MOST ATTACHMENTS

90% of the time when I try to attach a file to a post, I get the message "Internet Explorer Cannot Display The Webpage" and even if I try 7-8 times to repeat the process I still get the message. EVERY other site I belong to lets me attach files with no difficulty at all, they always work the very first time. Why is this such an issue here on TBN???

Do you use their procedure to attach (paper clip symbol) or are you trying to embed?
Attach has always worked fine for me.
Perhaps you might try putting the pics you want to attach into a folder with a short path like C:\TBN Uploads
That way when you Browse to the pic it is a short path for the upload.
If you have many tabs open in your browser when trying to go to the TBN upload page that might be causing a problem.
Does it work ok if you reboot shortly before trying the upload?
Have you cleaned out your history, cookies,temps, etc. lately?
Do you have a strong internet connection?
Are you using WIFI rather than direct connect to your modem?
Is your WIFI secure so other folks are not dragging down your signal?
Is your pic less than 1 MB?
That's about all I can think of.

i had the same problem,finally gave up,it kept saying the file was to big

Can you try another browser (Firefox or Chrome) on the same computer to see if that will work?

What version of IE are you using?

Thanks Ron...I have always used the "Manage Attachments" in Addtional Options. Connection is very strong and only use one computer at a time and it's wifi. Always clear history, cookies, etc. every time I shut down PC. Pics are well below the size limit. At no time do I have more than 1-3 tabs open on computer, which is very modern and has 4gb of memory and hard drive is almost two thirds empty. Wifi is very secure (rural area)

What baffles me is that I NEVER, repeat NEVER have the slightest difficulty using "Manage Attachments" anywhere else, not even on TBN's sister site LMF...attachments there ALWAYS go through the very first time. Rebooting and trying again helps once in maybe every third or fourth time, but I hate doing that. I am using Vista so it's not an obsolete OS that causes the problem.

IE 9...I DO NOT want to use another browser...thanks. IE 9 works great for me, I can easily upload attachments everywhere the first time EXCEPT here...this is the only site that refuses to work properly for me. I have the same issue with my desktop that uses the same OS and IE 9---attachments upload fine everyplace except here.Any and all pics I try to upload are well below the size limit.

I had some trouble until I started using the Windows picture 'resizer'. The resizer is free. Do a search for ' powertoys ' and you will usually get a link for the free Microsoft resizer. Once you have it loaded, you can right click on any jpg picture or jpg file and resize it. I usually always resize to ' Large '. That gives you a small file size and a picture that will fit easily on the screen. Not like some of the pictures people post that are bigger than your screen size and you have to scroll around to see the whole thing. Another thing is that this site seems to not like bitmap pictures, so try to stick to jpg and see if that helps.... Good luck, Jerry....

I can't laugh... I had to hunt for your "Manage Attachments" bar...
It took me a while to learn to look down when walking in the fields,
so I wouldn't step in it

Run a couple tests attaching pics with the paper clip in this thread.
You could use pics of your great looking yard. I don't know how you do it and still have time to play so much on TBN. Have you trained your cat to do the lawn care

I gotta go, it's time to mow.
