That doesn't look like the typical CL scam and reverse directory shows the phone number comes back correct. That is a smokin deal....I would not hesitate to check that tractor out and purchase it at that price if evrything is straight. My sister lives in South Bend in fact...would make the perfect dual purpose trip :thumbsup:! Just kidding. Your find and I'm not currently looking to buy anything but I wouldn't dilly dally around on that one.

Yeah, but if it is legit, why in heck is it $8000 under valued? Or am I full of poop.. I know LS is a cheaper brand, but come on. a 47 horse tractor what looks in good shape with 280 hours for 10,900 ?? I don't get it.

just talked to the guy. said hes only had it a few months and picked it up cheap and he's trying to flip it to make some money. how could he have gotten it any cheaper than what he's asking for it? Startin to sound kinda shady to me. He said I can come check it out tomorrow night. We shall see.

There was some very good deals on LS back in 2009 and even in 2010. I think that tractor was around $15K when I bought my P7010.
The powertrain warranty should still be good on it so I would be more concerned about it being stolen than defective.
It could be similar to the deal I got on my B26 where the owner picked it up cheap and is selling it cheap. Bankruptcy deals are great sometimes. I would at least make a call to the local sheriff to see if it is on a hot list, maybe give the guy $100 deposit to hold for a day if he is willing while the law checks it out. Might also call a local LS dealer with the serial numbers to check on warranty and also they may have been alerted to a stolen LS.
It could be legit at least as far as the current owner is concerned, but he may have snapped it up without checking and now is flipping it to get rid of it.
Make the dealer call and the sheriff calls and just ask if they have a hot list for that model LS, if they do then you can get the serial number and confirm or deny the suspicion.

I didnt get to go see it the other night. The wife and i got busy trimming trees. I talked to him today and he still has it. I'm planning a trip out there in the next day or two. I flat out asked him why he's selling so cheap and if it was stolen. he assured me it wasnt. I asked him if he had a brush hog we could hook up and test the 3pt and pto with. he has one apparently. he said he bought it a while back cheap and wants to just flip it and make some $$$. I will def get the serial # when I'm there and do some checking if I can.
